How to Improve Your Wi-Fi Signal at Home
Simple placement and setup changes can make a noticeable difference to your wireless coverage.
HowToFixWiFi
Start with router placement
Place your router in a central, open location, away from thick walls, metal objects, and enclosed cabinets. A higher shelf often gives the signal a clearer path through your home.
Reduce interference
Keep the router away from cordless phones, microwaves, and other electronics. If your router offers both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks, use 2.4 GHz for longer range and 5 GHz for nearby devices that need more speed.

Check your equipment
Restart your router when performance changes unexpectedly, install available firmware updates, and test coverage in more than one room before changing settings.
